Sauce Experience – Experience Terms & Conditions
We hold the right to run more than one class/course at any time. Each class/course will have its own islands and respective chefs.
Existing bookings will not be able to take advantage of any newly reduced/sale prices for the class already booked.
Package classes are non-transferable to another class and are valid for one individual. If you choose to transfer your package to another class, the credit transferred will only be for the amount originally paid, minus any classes already used from the package, charged at full price.
To offer the best experience possible in the allocated time, all our ingredients will be pre-weighed and, in some instances, due to time restraints, parts of the menu will be prepared ahead of the class by the chefs.
All our menus are carefully tested and chosen for each class. Where possible we will cater to dietary requirements however, in some cases alternatives may not be provided.
Sauce Experience Limited, under no circumstances, are held liable for glitches, bugs, errors, or inaccuracies of any kind on our website and, in the event, there is an error on the price paid, you will be offered to pay the difference or to be issued a refund.
Booking:
Experiences: To enrol on a class, full payment is payable to secure a place. If the applicant fails to pay in full, we cannot guarantee to reserve a place.
In all experiences, at the chef’s discretion, students will generally cook in solo (or in teams for those booked as part of a bigger group) and in some cases, this may be with different ages.
For our cocktail classes, we have a minimum age of 18 unless accompanied by a paying adult. Please check directly with us before booking.
Private Bookings & Hire
To hold a date for your private booking or hire, a transferable but non-refundable £300 deposit will be due to reserve the date, with the remaining amount due 2 months before the event is to take place. In cases where the booking is made within 2 months of the event, a full 100% payment will be due. Dates won’t be held until payment has been received.
Prices quoted are for the number of given participants, should these numbers decrease, prices are subject to increase. We hold the right to amend our prices at any given time before payment has been made.
Payments are non-refundable and are only transferrable up to 2 months before the event/hire date.
We do not have the capacity or insurance to cover additional unpaid people to join classes. Everyone present will need to be booked and paid for.
Agreed event/hire times need to be adhered to and if there is a delay due to lateness or negligence on the customer’s behalf the event may be cut short, or compensation will be incurred.
For complete hire, if times are overrunning and Sauce Experience Limited have agreed for you to run over, the kitchen can be used with extra payment charged at our rates for that day/time. Any extra costs will be taken out of the refundable deposit.
Gift Vouchers
Vouchers are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
You can extend your voucher for up to 1 year at the cost of £15 per 3 months. On extending the voucher validity your voucher will be credited to a monetary value of the amount paid.
Vouchers are non-refundable.
Vouchers are not valid for shop items.
Vouchers can’t be used to buy other vouchers or items on sale.
Vouchers are sent via email and not post however should you wish us to post your voucher, a £3.99 post & packaging fee will be charged and you can add this to your basket from the voucher page.
Vouchers bought for a experiences are only usable to the standard class prices and cannot be used for our special edition classes i.e., Christmas Edition. The voucher can be transferred to this class but will be used as a credit of equal value to that paid.
Bookings are subject to availability and due to popularity and sporadic dates, we suggest booking your spots in advance.
To book, email us before the expiry date, with your voucher code, number of spots, class and date you’d like to attend.
In the case of not being able to find a suitable date for the class your voucher was bought for, we can transfer your voucher to a credit for the purchased amount.
Those who purchase a voucher are responsible for making the recipient aware of our T&Cs.
Delivery
We will confirm the delivery address on items that have been ordered for delivery. If the address is incorrect or given too late, we will not be held responsible for loss or delay.
We can’t be held accountable for delivery delays or damage caused by the courier. If an item has not been received or is damaged, please notify us within 14 days so we can contact the courier for a refund. If you contact us outside this period, we cannot be held responsible.
Third-Party – Voucher & Bookings
Our standard terms & conditions apply to all third-party platform bookings.
Vouchers bought through a third-party platform are only valid for the first 10 spots of any class. Can’t be used towards a sale – the full price of the class needs to be paid.
Cancellations/Transfers:
We have a strict cancellation policy; all payments are non-refundable but transferable as per the below time restrictions. Any bookings cancelled outside of these restrictions full payment will be forfeited.
Experience: If you wish to transfer your experience to an alternate date, this must be done at least 2-weeks before the class date.
Private Bookings/Hire: To transfer or cancel any private bookings we require at least 2 months’ notice.
Sauce Experience are not liable for missed classes due to circumstances including weather, travel, illness, or any other situations that occur out of our control. If you are unable to attend for whatever reason and you have missed the cancellation timeline, you are free to gift or resell your ticket.
Should you choose to use our transfer policy within the policy restrictions, your booking will be transferred to a non-refundable credit and will be valid for 1 year from the first payment date.
If you bought a experience/course/voucher on sale, at a discount or a cheaper rate than the current price, the amount paid will be credited only and the full cost of the new class booking will be due.
In the event Sauce Experience needs to cancel a class, we will notify you by email with 1 working week’s notice for. You will then have a 1-year credit from the date of the cancelled class and for the value of that cancelled class, but if this option does not suit you, we can issue a full refund back to the original payment method*.
Costs, dates, and times are quoted at the time of going to print, and we reserve the right to make alterations as and when required.
Students already booked will be notified of any changes to times or dates as soon as it is known. Should the amendments not be suitable you will be given the option to transfer to another date or issued a refund back to the original payment method*.
*Refunds are not applicable to voucher bookings or bookings that have previously been changed by the customer.
We cannot be held accountable for missed emails and recommend checking your spam in the case that you have not received an email about your booking with us.
Should we need to change or cancel a booking we will not be held liable for any additional costs incurred.
Sales
Sale prices for experiences, and experience-specific vouchers are non-transferable and will only be transferable at the price paid.
Special offers, sale prices and discounted vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with one another and are non-transferable and non-refundable. The customer can choose which sale he/she would prefer to take advantage of.
Monetary vouchers bought on sale are not valid for private events, shop products or other classes on sale/special offer.
To take advantage of a sale, the full cost needs to be paid at the time of the advertised sale.
COVID-19
We will follow all government guidelines to the best of our ability however, we cannot be held responsible for acts of individuals or participants that may conflict with the current guidelines. In cases where guidelines are not being followed, participants are encouraged to bring this to our attention. Sauce Experience Limited will not be held liable for any potential spread of the virus on its premises while conducting classes or otherwise.
Health & Safety
Take extra care when handling specialist equipment and be aware of your surroundings and potential hazards in a kitchen, especially when under the influence of alcohol. Sauce Experience Limtied cannot be held liable for injuries or accidents.
In some of our experiences we offer alcohol packages, please drink responsibly and be respectful to your surroundings and fellow students. Should we feel you are disrupting the class or posing a risk to yourself or others around you, you will be asked to leave the class.
Students must advise Sauce Experience of any dietary requirements at the time of booking and although we will do our best to accommodate these requirements, our kitchen is used for many food purposes and we, therefore, cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free space.
Please wear appropriate clothing, including shoes that cover your feet.
Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or directly outside the building.
The taking of drugs is strictly prohibited on our premises.
If a customer is abusive or offensive in any way to any members of our staff, or other participants, we hold the right to ban the said person from our premises and a refund will not be due for any future classes or vouchers booked.
Privacy
On booking a class your email will be added to our mailing list but will not be shared with any 3rd party outside of the group of companies operated within Sauce Experience, Sauce Shed. You have the right to unsubscribe at any time.
We may take photographs or videos during courses for use on our social media accounts or for future marketing purposes. If you would prefer for you or your child to not be photographed or filmed, please let us know at the time of booking.
Property
All property that you bring to Sauce Experience is brought entirely at your own risk and we cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damage to the property, nor do we accept any liability to any student.
If there are damages to the venue and/or its contents the event organiser or participant will subsequently be billed and in failure to pay, appropriate action will be taken.
